SED’s Beacon Generator is designed to provide the reliability and accuracy needed for satellite antenna pointing and spotbeam positioning applications. It generates an exceptionally clean modulated signal with little to no RF and phase noise, designed for reliability and long life.
The Beacon Generator provides a ground reference for accurate spotbeam positioning by transmitting a high fidelity BPSK signal to the satellite from a known ground station. The modulator is controlled through an easy to use, intuitive web-browser GUI interface. Also available is a fully documented Ethernet based API to integrate the modulator into a high-level management system. The unit has front panel status LED’s for on site diagnostics and a contact closure alarm to connect to a local equipment management system.
